Bull Shark – Captain Eddie Brown (Tortuguero)
The “Bull Shark” out of Tortuguero and Barra del Colorado is a 22-foot open fisherman powered by two four-stroke 115hp Yamaha outboards. It features a T-top and full electronics. “Captain Eddie Brown”, the universally acknowledged “Tarpon King” of Costa Rica, has been guiding in the area for more than 35 years. He is an aggressive angler who goes the extra mile to find fish. All tackle and lures, plus sandwiches, beer, soft drinks and bottled water, are provided on the boat. Anglers hoping to catch tarpon on the fly should bring their own flies and rods.

Rio Indio Lodge (Nicaragua)
“Rio Indio Lodge” on the bank of the San Juan River, Nicaragua, is 35 minutes by private charter from San José. Set amid giant tropical hardwood trees for maximum comfort, the lodge property and the huge surrounding reserve are home to jaguars, tapirs, ocelots, three species of monkeys, dart frogs and much more. Fish with experienced local captains/guides for tarpon, snook, rainbow bass (guapote), machaca and other exotic gamefish in 16ft Jon boats or 25ft Open Sportfishermen that can get out into the Caribbean. Ecotours are also available for non-anglers. All-inclusive accommodation is provided. The main dining room, lounge bar and reception area are done in solid oak. Thatched-roof walkways connect the lodge and spacious guest bungalows that offer 27 premium bedrooms.
