Rio Indio Lodge abuts on the 2,640sq km Indio-Maíz protected biological tropical reserve of coastal areas, wetlands, swamps, primary forests and highlands that are home to an amazing variety of gorgeous, rare and fascinating plant, bird and animal species. While the anglers fish, non-anglers can take a variety of eco-tours.
Nicaraguan sportfishing accommodation at Rio Indio Lodge is in 27 spacious cabins crafted of local wood, each 700 sq ft, with two Queen beds, built on ‘stilts’ giving a panoramic view of the San Juan River and Captain Morgan’s Lagoon. Each cabin has a screened-in deck. There is also an inviting infinity pool and the La Draga Bar for after-fishing or after-tour R&R, plus a gorgeous restaurant offering fine cuisine for your culinary pleasure.
